- Bobby Roode and Drew McIntyre Face Off: NXT GM William Regal introduces Bobby Roode and Drew McIntyre. Roode comes out with security and says he hired security to protect everyone from Roderick Strong. Roode mocks McIntyre's first WWE run and says that Roode doesn't need a second chance because he's accomplished everything he has said he'd do. Roode says this is his NXT and McIntyre was never The Chosen One, he's just The One. McIntyre thinks it's funny that Roode is an ass that believes everything that spews from his mouth. Roderick Strong interrupts, says he respects William Regal's rule of not starting anything, but this is about Strong's family being disrespected by Roode. Roode says he'll defend the title against Strong, but Strong has to go through McIntyre first. Regal announces that McIntyre will battle Strong next week, if Strong wins then he gets a title shot against Roode after Takeover: Brooklyn 3.

- Backstage, Johnny Gargano says he has yet to miss a Takeover since last year and doesn't plan on missing next week's. Gargano demands a match for Takeover: Brooklyn 3.

- Oney Lorcan vs. Danny Burch: The match closes out with Lorcan hitting uppercuts and a running blockbuster on Burch. Both men trade shots until Lorcan locks in a single leg crab submission and then turns it into a Boston Crab submission. Burch counters out of it and gets a rollup pinfall for the victory.
Winner: Danny Burch, by pinfall.

- After the match, Lorcan slaps away a handshake from Burch, but then changes his mind and shakes Burch's hand.

- No Way Jose vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas sending Jose into the corner with a kick. Jose hits running knees in the corner on Almas and goes for the cover. Vega distracts Jose, allowing Almas to hit the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall.
Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas, by pinfall.

- After the match, Vega grabs the microphone and says that if Johnny Gargano wants a match at Takeover: Brooklyn 3 then Almas accepts his challenge.
