Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 10/18/17: Smackdown Live Seattle Recap

Smackdown Live was live this week in Seattle, Washington, hometown to Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan. This week's show moved forward as WWE Survivor Series is the next stop for Smackdown Live. What new feuds lie ahead for the blue brand??

** Smackdown Live Card **

- WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Nattie Neidhart, Lana and Tamina battled Charlotte, Naomi and Becky Lynch in a Six Woman Tag Team Match.
- WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin battled Sin Cara in a non title match.
- Bobby Roode battled Dolph Ziggler.
- Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton battled Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

- Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan calls out Sami Zayn to explain his recent actions.

- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal makes a special announcement regarding WWE Survivor Series.

- The Fashion Files Returned.

** Smackdown Live **

- Daniel Bryan Calls Out Sami Zayn: Bryan says it's great to be home and hypes tonight's show. Bryan wants to address someone who disappointed him and calls out Sami Zayn. Zayn says he's still a great guy, all he did was take back his career and accuses Bryan of jealousy for not being able to wrestle anymore. Zayn accuses Bryan of having the fans to help him along the way getting him to the top spot, but where are the fans for Zayn. Zayn says he doesn't care about the fans and maybe Bryan would still be wrestling if he didn't care about the fans at one point too. Zayn calls Bryan nothing but a housewife now as Kevin Owens arrives. Owens is happy Zayn is listening to what Owens has stated from day one and agrees with everything Zayn has stated. Bryan says Owens has never once cared about Zayn, he only cares about himself. Bryan says he cares what's best for the fans, but Owens says Bryan only cares what's best for business. Zayn says Bryan has become what he fought against his entire career, a sellout. Zayn again thanks Owens and Owens mocks Bryan as Bryan promises to find a couple guys to take care of Zayn and Owens to end the segment.

- "Six Woman Tag Team Match": Charlotte, Naomi and Becky Lynch vs. Nattie Neidhart, Lana and Tamina: The match closes out with Nattie breaking up the Figure Four submission and sends Charlotte into the corner. Becky hits the Bexploder on Nattie, sending her outside. Tamina lands a super kick, sending Becky outside. Naomi cross body blocks Tamina to the floor. Charlotte traps Lana in the Figure Four submission and bridges into the Figure Eight for the tap out win.
Winners: Charlotte, Naomi and Becky Lynch, by submission.

- After the match, Nattie attacks Charlotte and sends her into the announcers table. Nattie grabs a steel chair, but Charlotte fights back and chases off Nattie.

- Backstage, Daniel Bryan informs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens that he has acquired Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura to face them tonight. Zayn and Owens walk out as Bryan smiles.

- The Fashion Files: Pulp Fashion Edition: Tyler Breeze chokes on a cheeseburger and The Ascension offer to help, but only if Breezango will be their friends. Breeze survives, but Fandango still refuses to be The Ascension's friends. Breezango's briefcase comes up missing, The Ascension offer to help find it, but Breezango refuse and walk off.

- Baron Corbin officially announces that the US Open Challenges are closed for good and he'll only defend the WWE United States Championship when it benefits him.

- Baron Corbin vs. Sin Cara: The match closes out with Sin Cara drop kicking Corbin outside. Sin Cara hits a suicide dive and then leaps off the top rope and takes Corbin out again. Sin Cara beats the ten count and Corbin gets counted out.
Winner: Sin Cara, by countout.

- Backstage, The Usos are interviewed. The Usos state that they are the hottest thing going and they have the tag team division on lock. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin interrupt, disagree with The Usos and promise to come for their tag team titles.

- Jinder Mahal's WWE Survivor Series Announcement: Mahal says he received his hero's welcome in India last week and he's beaten every worthy wrestler on Smackdown Live. Mahal says that he must now beat the most dominant force in the WWE, The Beast Brock Lesnar. Mahal throws down an open challenge to Lesnar for WWE Survivor Series. AJ Styles suddenly interrupts and heads to the ring. Styles says he heard the Lesnar challenge clearly, but he's baffled about Mahal's comments about beating every worthy Smackdown Live wrestler when he's yet to battle Styles. Mahal says Styles is a loser and isn't worthy. Mahal tells Styles to get to the back of the line. Styles attacks and lays out The Singh Brothers then goes after Mahal. Styles hits the Pele Kick on Mahal before The Singh Brothers pull Mahal to safety.

- Backstage, Jinder Mahal confronts Daniel Bryan and demands revenge on AJ Styles. Bryan asks Mahal what he wants to do. Mahal says that Sunil Singh will battle Styles next week. Bryan accepts the challenge. 

- Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler: The match closes out with Ziggler getting a near fall rollup on Roode with a handful of tights. Ziggler counters the Glorious DDT, Roode counters that and gets a near fall rollup on Ziggler. Ziggler gets another rollup with a handful of tights on Roode. and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Aiden English is singing. The New Day interrupt with their trombone and the backstage staff start dancing with New Day. New Day mock English until Rusev interrupts. Rusev says that it's no more New Day it's now Rusev Day. New Day start playing a song for Rusev and English sings a song for Rusev. Rusev gets angry and says this isn't a joke to end the segment. 

- Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Owens hitting a super kick on Orton. Nakamura tosses Owens outside. Zayn goes for the Helluva Kick on Orton, but gets power slammed for a near fall. Owens sends Nakamura into the steel steps as Zayn low blows Orton. Zayn hits the Helluva Kick on Orton and scores the pinfall.
Winners: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, by pinfall.


- After the match, Zayn and Owens mock Daniel Bryan and ask what he has next for them. Bryan says Shane McMahon will decide that next week. Owens announces that he and Zayn are best friends, the best that Smackdown Live has and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
